Leandra & Malte – Summer wedding in the Oefter Forest in Essen

A free wedding ceremony under the open sky, warm summer light, emotional moments with family and friends and a relaxed celebration surrounded by nature – the wedding of Leandra & Malte in the Oefter Forest in Essen was exactly the kind of wedding that a wedding photographer simply loves.

The bride's getting-ready

Even during the morning's getting ready, there was a special atmosphere in the air. Leandra and her bridesmaids prepared for the day in a relaxed manner. Between champagne showers, loving details, and the first emotional moments, photos were taken in a laid-back atmosphere.

The free wedding ceremony

The outdoor wedding ceremony took place on the meadow right next to the Oefter Wald event venue – surrounded by family, friends, and nature. This very combination is what makes weddings there so special: modern, stylish, and yet totally relaxed. There was a lot of laughter during the ceremony, but of course, a few tears were shed as well. The moment of the exchange of rings and the recessional after the ceremony will definitely be remembered.

Champagne reception, cake cutting + bridal couple photoshoot

After the champagne reception, initial group photos, and the cutting of the cake, we took advantage of the evening sun for the bridal couple's photoshoot around the expansive meadows and fields of the Oefter Forest. The soft light just before sunset perfectly complemented the natural colors of the day and gave the pictures a warm, timeless look. Leandra and Malte were completely at ease – without any posing, simply authentic and emotional.

First dance, party + the wedding location

The evening celebration also struck the perfect balance between elegance and informality. The lovingly decorated venue, with its warm lighting and rustic elements, created an incredibly beautiful atmosphere.

The Oefter Forest in Essen is definitely one of the most beautiful locations for outdoor weddings in North Rhine-Westphalia.
